Dear Members of the Ashesi Community,
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Ashesi University has been named the 7th Most Respected Company in the 2012 PricewaterhouseCoopers/Business and Financial Times Ghana Most Respected Company and CEO Awards. I was also named the 4th Most Respected CEO in Ghana.
This ranking is based on a survey of over 300 Chief Executives in Ghana.
Ashesi’s nomination by some of the most accomplished individuals in society is something that we should all be very proud of. It is very high praise indeed. This is the first time that a university –and non-profit corporation- has been listed among the top ten companies in Ghana.
Even as we celebrate this award, let us also take a moment to reflect on what has got us to this point: our commitment to ethical leadership and innovation. And let us, with humility, redouble our resolve to live up to our ideals, build a more excellent institution, and ultimately be the agents of Africa transformed.
