The Park Hyatt Johannesburg, conducting its first internship search in West Africa, has recruited two Ashesi students. Anita Agyamgha and Emi-Beth Amable will be the first two Ghanaians to take part in Hyatt’s Management Training Programme. The students were chosen after a highly competitive application and interview process. The two will be in South Africa from June 12th through August 18th 2006, experiencing first hand what it is like to work in a world class hotel.
Hyatt’s internship programme is aimed at creating and maintaining relationships between the hotel and potential future managers, while giving students a taste of what Hyatt calls “the culture of a hospitality leader.” During the internship, students will interact with others from diverse backgrounds.
