A team of five Ashesi students and one alumna has been selected to join the Goldman Sachs Spring Internship Programme in London. The two-week enrichment program gives participants an insight into Goldman Sachs and exposes them to a wide range of career opportunities within the financial services industry. The team of six from Ashesi, are part of a total group of sixteen selected out of over 500 applicants from 20 universities in Ghana and Nigeria.
Students Frederick Apronti '16, Ibrahim Soumahoro '16 and Daniel Obiri '16, will join the Investment Research, Finance and Investment Banking divisions respectively, while Andrew Abbeyquaye '17 and Anthony Kwawu '16 will both be in the Technology Division. Alumna Rhoda Appiah '15 will work in the Operations Division.

While in London, the team will participate in a series of activities and programs that will expose them to the breadth of the investment banking world. This is the eleventh year in a row, that Ashesi students have been selected to participate in the program. Currently, three Ashesi alumni are employed as full-time employees at Goldman Sachs' London office.

SEO Africa's affiliate organizations in the US and in the UK have been working with Goldman Sachs for 36 years, and since 2014, SEO Africa has been working to enhance the Bank's recruitment and training efforts in Ghana and Nigeria.
