Ashesi is proud to announce that we have been accepted into the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). With a membership of 1,300 universities from across the United States and around the world, AAC&U is the leading organization for undergraduate liberal education. Member institutions, which include Arizona State University, Babson College, Cornell University and Dartmouth University, are committed to extending the advantages of a liberal education to all students regardless of academic specialisation.

“The AAC&U presents a wonderful resource for Ashesi to learn new ideas for effective teaching and tap into academic research,” says Provost, Dr. Marcia Grant. “We are thrilled to be part of an association at the forefront of improving global education.”

Through its publications, meetings, public advocacy, and programs, AAC&U works to reinforce commitment to liberal education and to help individual colleges and universities keep the quality of student learning at the core of their work. It also houses Project Kaleidoscope, an organization that promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields in undergraduate liberal education.

The AAC&U will be one hundred years old this year, and holds important annual and regional meetings and workshops about liberal arts education. It also is publisher of the journals LIBERAL EDUCATION and PEER REVIEW.
