Representatives of Texas Instruments (TI), one of the global leaders in analog technology, donated a digital signal processor development kit and other tools to the Computer Science department at Ashesi University College. The development kits are designed to allow electronic engineers, researchers and students to develop and test products. The kits will be used for projects in courses such as VLSI: Embedded Systems and Robotics.
The products were presented to Ashesi faculty members during a seminar jointly organized by TI and National Instruments (NI) at the University of Ghana . The seminar provided instruction on how to use the tool LabView delivered by National Instruments (NI). LabView is a virtual instrumentation platform used by many research centers and industries around the world. The Ashesi Computer Science Department was grateful for the opportunity to participate in the program and hopes to continue to build a good relationship with TI and NI.
