Are the workshop sessions free?
The June 4th to 9th 2017 workshop costs $1000* per participant to attend. There is a 20% discount for team registration (two or more participants from the same institution). We encourage more than one participant per institution.

  • Early bird registration (10% discount): Open till March 10th
  • Regular registration: March 11th to April 14th
  • Late registration will be from April 15th to April 30th

Note that acceptance of late registration is discretionary and will be dependent on space
* Registration includes all meals, and lodging.

Where will the workshop be held?
Workshop sessions will be on the Ashesi campus in Berekuso. The campus is about an hour’s drive out of Accra.


Are there specific entry requirements for participants?
The June workshop is open to participants from institutions of higher education, and individuals interested in sharing and learning best practices for education strategies in and out of the classroom. We encourage leaders, directors, presidents, including department heads, faculty, and administrative staff to register to attend. 

The structure and format of the sessions will have participants benefiting most if they attend as a team from their institution. Team registrations receive a 20% discount if made by the March 10th early bird registration deadline, and 10% if made by the April 14th regular registration deadline.

What are the deadlines?
Early bird registration

Can I be non-resident and attend daily?

It is going to be an intensive and immersive 6 days, and therefore this workshop is resident-only. The registration fee covers lodging and meals for the six days. 

Can I participate if I have worked in a higher-ed institution in the past?
Yes you may register particularly is you and your team are considering setting up a higher-education or post secondary institution in the near future in Africa.

Will participants be required to submit any form of documentation as part of registration?
Participants will complete a goals and expectations form on registration and before workshop starts. Faculty participants will be required to bring along to the workshop a sample course outline. Administrative participants will be required to complete a simple operations outlook chart.
