Ashesi University Foundation is happy to welcome a new member to our Seattle staff. Mary Fryett joins the Foundation as Development Associate, helping with Ashesi's Development efforts in the Seattle office.
Mary comes to Ashesi with over six years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector. Before joining Ashesi, Mary worked for a year as Development Manager at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle. Previously, she spent two years working at the Foundation Center in New York City as Development Associate. Prior to moving to New York, Mary spent three years working for Horn of Africa Services, a grassroots organization providing services to east African refugees and immigrants living in the Seattle area. She began there as an Americorps Vista volunteer for a year, and she then joined the staff.
Raised as a US citizen in Côte d'Ivoire, Mary went on to earn her BA in International Relations and French at Seattle Pacific University. Mary’s background, skills, and involvement as a community volunteer at several nonprofits will make her a great addition to Ashesi University Foundation.
